Mrs.
Mary King’s C.E. School is situated in the village of Martin,
about 25 minutes drive South East from Lincoln. We take children
from the villages of Martin, Timberland, Martin Dales and Thorpe
Tilney, although some come to us from a wider area than that.
The school has four classes with ages from 4 to 11.
Children are admitted during the term following their 4th birthday.
Classes are arranged as follows:
Class 1 (Mrs. Kent) Foundation Stage
Class 2 (Miss Agnew) Year 1 and Year 2
Class 3 (Mrs. Reed) Year 3 and Year 4
Class 4 (Mrs. Reid) Year 5 and Year 6
Parents are always welcome in the school, either
as classroom helpers or as partners in their child’s education.
There are monthly opportunities to consult with staff at parents’ evenings
and staff are happy to discuss children’s progress at other
times by appointment.
For more information, contact the school office on 01526 378330.
Visits are welcome by appointment.
In addition to the subjects of the National Curriculum, we also
provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as football,
skittleball, athletics, cricket, swimming, dance, art clubs, games
etc. There are also opportunities for your child to learn to play
the violin and to learn to speak French.
The school has a close collaborative arrangement with Walcott primary
school, whereby teachers both schools share resources and the same
curriculum, teachers plan jointly and some children have lessons
in the other school. This makes best use of teacher expertise and
also widens the children’s friendship groups.
