As you are aware, it was planned that TimTin Playgroup & Kids Club would be opening its doors on Monday 21st April 2008. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we are unlikely to be able to do this.
We have fulfilled all the requirements and are hoping to open as soon as possible, however we are now at the mercy of solicitors. There have been complications due to the fact that the land on which the new premises will be sited does not belong to Lincolnshire County Council but is held in trust, as requested by Mrs Mary King in 1753.
To this end the school/land trustees have to provide more documentation than originally thought. These complications were not discovered by the relevant organisations until January of this year. We are unable to push the project any faster and have to wait until these documents are in place and the solicitors give permission for the building to be put in place.
Timberland Playgroup, its Committee and Mrs Mary King’s School have all been working very hard to ensure that as soon as we have the solicitors go ahead we will be in a position to move quickly. All funding is in place, the building is actually built and in storage, new play equipment is on order and all the staff are excited and eagerly awaiting the move.
Due to the nature of the complications we are not at this point able to give a new opening date, we have been assured that everyone is working as fast as they can and only envisage the delay being a few weeks. We will keep you all updated with the progress and hope to see the building being put into position shortly.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you with your child care arrangements but we hope that we can look forward to your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you to visit our new premises and offering you and your family the care and kindness whilst guiding your children through their pre-school and primary school development.
